Adjust the "subscribe" method to use updated Socket.IO methods specifically, "socket.off" instead of "socket.removeListener"

@robwormald apologies, I hadn't checked on this to follow up. I explicitly added karma to the devDependencies and updated the required version of grunt-karma so the build would complete. |
